Greek Cultural Centre Of Durham Region

The Greek Cultural Centre of Durham Region is a significant community project and vision led by the Greek Community of Oshawa & District, a non-profit organization founded over 50 years ago to preserve Hellenic heritage. While the community currently operates various programs throughout the region—such as the Greek School hosted at All Saints Catholic Secondary School in Whitby—the long-term goal is the development of a dedicated 14-acre site on Stevenson Road North in Oshawa. This future centre is envisioned as a central meeting place to unify the Greek population through cultural education, social events, and traditional arts. In the meantime, the community remains highly active through its partnership with the Evangelismos Tis Theotokou Greek Orthodox Church on Farewell Street and annual celebrations like Hellenic Heritage Month in March.
