Sahaja Yoga Meditation – Ajax is a community-focused group offering free meditation sessions rooted in the teachings of Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi. The Ajax branch traditionally meets at the Ajax Central Library (65 Harwood Avenue South), providing a welcoming space for residents to explore “Self-Realization” and the awakening of the inner Kundalini energy. These sessions focus on achieving a state of “thoughtless awareness”—a mental silence that reduces stress and promotes emotional balance—without the need for physical exercises or fees. Guided by experienced volunteers, the classes are open to all ages and backgrounds, often extending their reach through collective workshops across the Durham Region, including neighboring Whitby and Pickering.
