Durham United Ahlul Bayt Centre

Durham United Ahlul Bayt Centre (also known as the DUA Centre) is a non-profit Islamic organization and community hub located in Ajax (487 Westney Rd S). Established to unite the community under the message of peace in Islam, the centre is guided by the teachings of the 14 Masumeen (a.s.) and the Shia Ithna ‘Ashari tradition. It serves as a spiritual home for families in the Durham Region, offering organized Jumah prayers, majalis, and milad gatherings led by esteemed Ulemas. Beyond religious services, the DUA Centre is committed to youth development through its Nahjul Balaghah Academy and provides essential community support, including comprehensive burial services. It is frequently noted for its inclusive and welcoming atmosphere, fostered by a dedicated team of volunteers working toward the vision of a vibrant, compassionate community.
