Sanctus Church – Ajax

Sanctus Church – Ajax is a dynamic, multi-site community hub and the largest physical location of Sanctus Church, situated at 599 Bayly Street East. Known for its vibrant, multi-generational congregation, the Ajax site offers high-energy Sunday services at 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM featuring live contemporary worship and biblical teaching. The church has a deep history in the region, originally launching in 1985 and evolving from Carruthers Creek Community Church (and later C4 Church) before rebranding to Sanctus in 2019. It is highly regarded for its comprehensive ministries, including the “Sanctus Kids” program, “The Lobby” for young adults, and various “Connect Groups” that foster small-group intimacy. Beyond spiritual services, the church is a major local partner for social justice, notably having birthed the SafeHope Home, a Durham-based non-profit dedicated to supporting survivors of human trafficking.
