Feed The Need In Durham is a major anti-hunger charity and emergency food distribution hub serving the Durham Region in Ontario, Canada. Operating since 2009, it works with more than 65 local hunger-relief programs, including food banks, shelters, school nutrition and meal programs, to collect, rescue and distribute millions of pounds of fresh, frozen and non-perishable food annually to those facing food insecurity. FTND aims to ensure community members have access to nutritious food with dignity and to help break the cycle of poverty by addressing the root causes of hunger and advocating for stronger policies.
