Durham Cricket Academy

The Durham Cricket Academy (DCA), originally established as the Ajax Cricket Club in 1999, has evolved into a premier destination for youth cricket development within Ontario’s Durham Region. Operating primarily out of the Ajax Cricket Ground with additional indoor facilities for year-round training, the academy focuses on nurturing players from the grassroots level up to elite competition. Led by experienced figures like Coach Phil, who has been a cornerstone of the program since its inception, the academy offers structured coaching for children and teens aged 4 to 18. Students benefit from a curriculum that balances fundamental skill-building—such as batting, bowling, and fielding—with the development of sportsmanship and team spirit. Over the years, DCA has built a strong reputation for competitive success, with its teams clinching numerous division titles and several of its alumni advancing to represent the Canadian national team in international youth tournaments.
