Durham Champions Cricket Club – DCCC

The Durham Champions Cricket Club (DCCC) is a community-oriented recreational cricket organization that serves a diverse membership across the Durham Region, particularly within the town of Ajax. Established as a non-profit, the club operates primarily out of Applecroft Park, providing a structured environment for both youth and senior players to develop their skills in a social yet competitive atmosphere. DCCC manages several internal teams, such as the Durham Chargers and Durham Challengers, and organizes its own leagues—the Durham Champions Cricket League (DCCL) and the Durham Champions Softball League (DCSL)—which cater to various skill levels and playing formats, including leather ball and hard tennis ball cricket. Beyond the boundary ropes, the club is deeply integrated into the local community through its youth camps, charity tournaments, and annual social events, emphasizing a “Spirit of the Game” philosophy that welcomes participants regardless of their experience level.
