Profile
Enniskillen Conservation Area is a scenic natural park in the Municipality of Clarington within the Durham Region of Ontario, Canada. Covering about 65 hectares on the south slopes of the Oak Ridges Moraine, it features a mix of cedar swamps, open wetlands, bubbling brooks, and mixed deciduous forest, with Bowmanville Creek and two peaceful ponds adding to its charm. The area offers roughly 5.5 km of hiking trails that wind through diverse habitats, making it a popular spot for walking, birdwatching, and enjoying nature close to the small village of Enniskillen. The site also has historical interest due to the remnants of the 19th‑century Moorey Grist Mill, where you can still see the earthen dam that once created a millpond.
