Named after Ajax’s first mayor, Pat Bayly, this urban civic space opened in 2018 and serves as a focal point for local gatherings, cultural events, and seasonal activities. The square features a central water feature that converts into a free outdoor ice skating rink in winter, landscaped seating areas, public art including a monument to honour World War II women war workers, and flexible space for markets, concerts, and celebrations. It plays a key role in the surrounding mixed-use Vision at Pat Bayly Square development, which integrates residential, retail, and office spaces to enliven the town’s downtown core.
