Lakeview Manor is an accredited long-term care home owned and operated by the Region of Durham, situated on five acres of park-like land in Beaverton (Township of Brock) near the shores of Lake Simcoe. The facility currently provides 149 licensed beds and offers 24-hour nursing care, specialized dementia support, and respite services. A major transformation is currently underway at the site; a new, state-of-the-art replacement building is under construction and scheduled to open in fall 2026. This new design will shift toward a “neighborhood” model, featuring 16-bed clusters to foster closer social connections and a “main street” core that includes a café, hair salon, gym, and worship centre. Beyond residential care, Lakeview Manor serves as a hub for the community through its Adult Day Programs in both Beaverton and Port Perry, which provide supervised therapeutic and social activities for seniors living with cognitive or physical impairments.
