Back Door Mission

Back Door Mission in Oshawa, Durham Region, Ontario is a registered charitable organization dedicated to relieving poverty and supporting people experiencing homelessness, food insecurity, mental health challenges, and addiction issues. Located at 66 Simcoe St South, it operates an inclusive service hub called Mission United, where visitors can access meals, food pantry items, clothing, washrooms, showers, and connections to housing, health, and social supports through partner agencies. The Mission began in 1998 as a drop‑in centre and has expanded into a key community resource offering wrap‑around, low‑barrier assistance and compassionate care to vulnerable individuals throughout Durham.
