Rolling Hills Studio

Rolling Hills Studio is a unique creative destination located in the countryside of Sunderland, Ontario (within the Township of Brock). Founded in 2011 by artisan Anja Kooistra, the studio is housed in a refurbished rustic barn and has become well-known for its immersive sculpture workshops. Using “Powertex” (a universal fabric hardener), clay, and recycled textiles like vintage laces or doilies, participants can create intricate weatherproof garden sculptures, ranging from whimsical fairies and dragons to elegant herons and flamingos. The studio emphasizes “art therapy,” offering a tranquil environment where both beginners and advanced artists can enjoy a full-day or half-day creative escape, complete with homemade lunch and views of the surrounding hills.
