Profile
The Durham Warm Water Aquatic Program (DWWAP) is a long-standing, volunteer-run charitable organization that provides therapeutic exercise programs for individuals with musculoskeletal disabilities throughout the Durham Region. Designed specifically for those living with conditions such as arthritis, fibromyalgia, MS, and chronic pain, the program focuses on gentle exercises in a warm water environment to improve joint mobility, range of motion, and overall well-being. Historically, classes have been held at sites like the Grandview Children’s Centre in Oshawa and facilities in Whitby, offering affordable 10-week sessions. To ensure the safety and suitability of the exercises for each participant, a physician’s referral is required for registration.
