Located in Sunderland near Uxbridge, Wheelbarrow Farm is a 10-acre sustainable vegetable farm known for its commitment to ecological health and innovation. Founded in 2008 and powered entirely by 100% solar energy, the farm famously operates Canada’s first solar-powered electric tractor to cultivate over 50 varieties of organic, chemical-free crops. Beyond providing seasonal produce through their popular Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) baskets and Toronto-area farmers’ markets, the farm serves as an educational hub, offering guided tours, organic gardening workshops, and apprenticeships for aspiring farmers.
