The Great Blue Heron Casino & Hotel is a premier gaming and entertainment destination located on Scugog Island, just east of Port Perry in Ontario’s Durham Region. Owned by the Mississaugas of Scugog Island First Nation and operated by Great Canadian Entertainment, the facility is a significant economic hub that blends modern amenities with Indigenous cultural elements, most notably in its signature red, blue, and cream roof structure. The casino floor spans approximately 25,000 square feet, featuring over 600 slot machines, a variety of table games (including Blackjack and Roulette), and a dedicated poker room. In late 2021, the property expanded with the addition of a contemporary 116-room hotel, which is pet-friendly and features a fitness center and business amenities.
